DONT SPEAK ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM. SPEAK TO YOUR PROBLEM

Ships dont sink because of the water around them. They sink because of the water that gets in them. Dont let whats happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.

We all have challenges but what differentiate us is, while some keep complaining about their problems others speak to the problem. Do you know the more you talk about a problem the more life you give to that problem? Our tongue is so powerful that you become the product of what you say.

There is this lady I knew way back in the university. She had this funny intonation (igbotic accent). She never allowed that challenge to deter her from getting what she wanted. Whenever there was an opportunity to talk this lady comes out first. Her goal was to build that self-confidence without paying attention to the reaction of people. She continued this until we became used to the way she talks. Imagine if she had refused to express herself back then, she would absolutely be drowned in low self-esteem today.
Listen to me, no problem can weigh you down without your permission. Without your approval it cannot be approved. A lot of people are not successful today not because of funds but because of lack of believe. You have to believe in yourself first. Be mindful of what you do or say. Mindfulness embroils paying attention, on purpose, without judgment. Using this approach, you evaluate yourself without judgment, knowing that self-recrimination is not the solution to your problem. On the contrary, according to research, when you judge yourself harshly, you're more likely to compound your problem by worrying. And worrying cannot solve that problem rather it deteriorates it.

Stop judging. Your attention instead should be focused on what that problem is telling you and how that problem can turn around to help you. Ask yourself, "What can I learn from this?" This will help you determine what steps to take next.

Be kind to yourself. You're human. Criticizing yourself, isolating yourself or letting your worries get the best of you won't help you reach your goals. These behaviours only show that you're in need of a little self-compassion. When you start to condemn yourself, challenge your thoughts by asking, "Is what I'm telling myself right now 100 percent true?
Change how you look at your problem. You certainly don't have to love your problem, but you can turn your negative thoughts into more positive ones. You might tell yourself, "This is a test to help me know if my behaviour changes are working for me." Or, "This problem is just a small part of me. It doesn't include my strong passion and desire for my job, my love for my family and friends, my talents and strengths." Here's one more: "The problem is only a passing phase. It doesnt change your self-worth.
It might even help you to write "What can I learn from this?" on a piece of paper and hang it where you can see it every time. Then bravely step forward  and hold your head high, no matter what the problem is.

Conclusion
When you notice yourself making judgments, jot them down and then ask yourself, "What can I learn from this?"
When you face a setback, think before you criticize yourself. What would you say to a friend in a similar position? Now try using that language for yourself.
If feelings of dread start to creep in as you get ready to step on, take a moment to stop and think about the bigger picture of what you're learning when you talk to your problem.

Garbage in Garbage out. Bad parenting the major cause of Nigeria problems.

It is very good to be a career mum, no disputing that fact as we are aware of the present state of Nigeria economy. It might be difficult for just one person to shoulder all that responsibilities. Just yesterday on my way to church, I saw three boys on uniform obviously they were on their way to school. In their hand was a mobile stereo speaker playing music out loud while walking down a busy road with unbuttoned uniform, sagged trousers and a comb on their hair. What??? Are these Nigeria future leaders? Garbage-In-Garbage-Out.  Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. The result of various actions of our parents towards their children ultimately become the product of the society we live in. For us to save our society, parents/guardians need to take their responsibility which in this case is parenting VERY serious.

Parenting children demands ongoing efforts to protect, teach, encourage and set behavioural limits. Parenting can be very challenging and even frustrating. Some parents give in to the frustration and resort to abusive parenting tactic. I was telling someone the other day that we all as parents really need wisdom to direct our kids the right way as we are not perfect either. You cant imagine the suffering some people go through everyday just to feed. You see an old woman who is supposed to be reaping the fruit of her labour hawking on the street selling peanuts just to put food in her stomach. Will you blame it on the country? Not really. How can you give birth to 10 children when you hardly have enough to feed on? How will you survive?
The truth is, Nigeria is like a baby in a bad hand. Nigeria is a good country simply in bad hands. And this majorly is as a result of bad parenting. I met a shoe repairer the other day who bragged about having 8 kids and still planning to make them 12. I asked him "oga, how you go train them?" Can you guess his response...? He said, he gives them out to people who need but dont have. I was so disappointed. I went to primary school in this country at a time when If your parent ever told you your teacher complained about you, you would feel like running away. These days, the teachers ask for bribe and the Nigerian parents go to schools and beat up teachers.  Something has gone awfully wrong. Quality education is now a matter of money and position. In fact, it now seems like if you dont have a lot of money, your children cannot make it in life.

What am I trying to say? We should bring up our kids the right way because they are the future of this great country. We all need to work together to make Nigeria work again by teaching our children to be responsible. If there are no jobs teach them to create one. you dont need to blame the country for your misfortune. some parents are even too busy to interact with their children and supervise their activities; they rarely intervene or become involved in a child's life, failing to provide guidance. This brings me to the 4 styles of parenting: Authoritarian, Authoritative, Permissive, not involved. All these will be discussed in my book soon.

In summary, lets aim to control our children's behaviour through continuous direction. But as parents let us also maintain high behavioural expectations. Let us be sensitive to our child's point of view and temperament, lets have that patient to explain why certain rules are important rather than citing our authority as the reason why children should obey. By giving in-depth explanation, we will typically produce independent, confident children who are well-adjusted, creative and cooperative. And this we really need to take our country away from bad hands.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A PERSON LOVES YOU?

This is a personal question. Everyone have their one unique definition of love. Mine centers alot on Communication. Some might see communication as choking. Not just the physical kind or the hearts and flowers and candy kind. Not the I love you as long as you remain good type of love. It takes time to know if someone really loves you, not forever though but not in weeks or even few months either. Its takes time. It’s not about just saying it but acting it too. It’s not just having the ability to say it but also showing what you really feel. Love is freedom. It  is not judgmental, or controlling. Love is clear water the person does not have any hidden agenda. Love is acceptance on all levels. You don’t have to lose weight or dress a certain way in order to be loved. You choose to lose weight because you want to please yourself and the person you love.

Communication is sine qua non to love. My opinion though. A lot of marriages crumble today because of lack of communication and third party interference. This is particularly true in the country where I come from. Couples choose what they discuss with their spouse so they won't be labeled an "immoral spouse". Most marriages fail not because of money or infidelity, it’s the inability or being afraid to say what you truly feel and fearing the person will abandon you or not think of you the same.
Apart from communication which I see as key, when someone really loves you, their feelings for you will never change no matter how many other people they meet. True love comes naturally.
It is not all about " I love you", you can tell by the way they treat you.
When someone really loves you, time or distance will not be a barrier. They will always find a way to be with you.

When someone really loves you, they will accept your flaws and appreciate your thoughts. Even your mistakes will never change their feelings. Although the mind  gets angry but the heart still cares.
When someone really loves you, you can never be an option to them
When someone really loves you, they make you see and think of love as something sweet. They don't make you think love is hard and painful.
When someone really loves you, they would still find one reason to stay even if there was million reasons to leave.
When someone really loves you, they don't make you fight for their attention constantly.
When someone really loves you, they will make you feel safe, comfortable and free to be yourself.
When someone really loves you, they will protect you and will not want to lose you.
When someone really loves you, they will do real efforts to be with you. Action they say speaks louder than words.
When someone really loves you, they see the imperfect you, see what a mess you can be, how hard you're to handle, but still wants you.
When someone really loves you, they will sometimes make you mad but most times make you happy.
When someone really loves you, your joy is their joy. They will be happy in your happiness.
When someone really loves you, they will be more excited than you on your special day especially on your birthday.
When someone really loves, they will always be there for you.
Most importantly,True love must be mutual to be true!
A big thank you to my hubby for this inspiration. For in him I see all these virtues of true love. One of the rare gems who are not so particular about the out ward beauty of a woman but the inward beauty. May our love continue to blossom Ifunanyam. You are indeed one of a kind.

ONLINE WORK IDEAS FOR STAY AT HOME MOM

ONLINE WORK IDEAS FOR STAY AT HOME MOM

The unemployment rate in Nigeria is quite frightening, and the rate is increasing by the day. Since there are no jobs out there the best you can do for your self is create one and probably expand to employ more people to work with you. Thus, you are contributing your own quota to the development of the country.
Let me tell you a very short story on how I started my businesses. I started job hunting right from my NYSC service years. I applied and attended more than a few job interviews but non clicked until I got one marketing job from an insurance company. The job was commission based. Nobody cared about your transportation fees and other miscellaneous. I had to quit the job. I continued my job search. Sequel to my numerous CV submissions, i got responses from some companies and was scheduled for interview(s) but most of the interviews are always on a week day and almost same time I pick my kids up from school. Whenever I asked for a reschedule, it will not be granted because they feel they are doing me a favour.
Busy moms who want to stay home to raise their children, but also want to contribute to the family income, have many choices for building a flexible home-based career. I am talking from experience. If you're a mom wanting to work at home, then think through these listed internet-based home business ideas.

Online Service
The amount of services you can offer from your own home is limitless. Evaluate your personal and professional talents and interests to find out if any can be turned into a service that you can provide virtually. Some service ideas include writing, editing, and proofreading, graphic design and more. You can even take duties you did while working for a company and turn it into a home business. If you were a marketer, you can create advert for companies and get paid.

Sell Physical Products Online
I have an online business where I sell everything fashion both at wholesale and retail prices. If you ever had the dream of opening a retail store, that doesn't have to be put on hold because you're a stay-at-home mom. The internet has made it possible to sell products from any location, including your house. You can sell products you make, or buy wholesale items for resale. Getting your store online is easier and more affordable than ever. Building an e-commerce website doesn't require a great deal of expense or coding knowledge anymore. I can provide you with such service for little fee.

Sell Informational Products Online
Every day millions of people go online to find information. In many cases, they're willing to pay for it. You can tap into this by creating information products and selling them online.
Information products come in many methods. You can create an e-book and sell it online. If you're interested in book publishing but aren't sure about writing, you can hire a ghost-writer (ardarrhinspiring@gmail.com) Selling eBooks, in particular, is ideal for the busy mom, because purchase and delivery can be done automatically, saving you the hassle of shipping.

Start a Niche Blog
A blog is a fun and great way to make money from a topic you know and love. This is especially true if many others know and love it as well. While you offer the information for free, there are many options for making money, including Google AdSense and other ad feed programs, that will place ads on your site. If you use them, you can get paid when people click on the ads.
Other money-making options include affiliate products, selling ad space, or selling your own products. The trick to success in  blogging is building traffic through internet marketing. The more targeted traffic you get to your site, the more likely you'll make money.

Market Affiliate products and Services

Marketing affiliate products
and services is basically getting paid to make referrals to other business. One great aspect of affiliate marketing is that you don't have to sell or deliver products. When your link is used to make a purchase, you can earn a commission or flat rate from the referral.

Think, find, create that which you love doing and turn it into another stream of income. You can always contact me if you need a coach to guide you through.
